The Les Vignerons du Narbonnais wine cooperative was founded in the mid-1930s by a handful of small winegrowers. By collaborating intensively, they were able to produce wine on a larger and better scale. Over time, the cooperative has grown to over 330 winegrowers, who create superb wines. Bellevaux wines are truly top-notch, thanks in part to their pleasant and enjoyable flavors. The grapes for this Bellevaux Merlot Cabernet Reserve come from the finest vineyards. Because the cooperative has access to a vast acreage of vineyards, they can select only the finest grapes for this Bellevaux red wine.

Impressions of Bellevaux Merlot Cabernet Reserve

The grape yield for this red wine is small. This means the quality is sky-high. After the harvest, which takes place under strict supervision, the grapes are fermented. Thanks in part to the talented winemaker, the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are perfectly blended, allowing both grape varieties to shine. This results in a generous and juicy aroma with nuances of warm, dark fruit like cherry and blackcurrant. A knowledgeable wine drinker will clearly recognize a hint of vanilla. The palate of Bellevaux Merlot Cabernet Reserve is powerful yet smooth. The tannins are round and ripe, giving the red wine plenty of power. You'll taste red fruit, raspberry, and a hint of cherry.
