Barefoot Pink Moscato

This Barefoot rosé was California's first slightly sweet rosé, setting the tone. But we already knew that Barefoot is a winery committed to innovation, as the wines have been produced since 1965. First on a small scale by California winemaker Davis Bynum in his garage, and later on a large scale. Barefoot wines truly reached great heights in 1986 when visionary entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey took over. He honored the name and added a footprint to the label, a kind of thank you to California winemaker Davis Bynum. Since then, the wines have become immensely popular worldwide, and this Pink Moscato is especially popular.

Barefoot's old vineyards are now mature and producing a fantastic harvest of Pink Moscato. But this doesn't happen automatically; hard work is required in the vineyards to achieve the best results. The hours of sunshine the grapes receive play a key role in this. They develop a lot of strength and natural sugars, giving this rosé its slightly sweet flavor. When the grapes are ripe, they are harvested in the morning to prevent damage during transport. The beautifully ripe bunches are pressed, and the skins briefly ferment, giving this rosé its beautiful light pink color.
