Proyecto Cu4tro Bubbles is a series of wines from Clos Montblanc, a renowned winery located in the Barbera de la Conca region near Tarragona. The team, led by chief oenologist Josep Vadrí, subtly combines tradition and innovation in their winemaking processes. With over 1,300 available barriques, local and international grape varieties are masterfully aged, while preserving their fine, characteristic fruit aromas and never being overpowered by the oak. The vinification process for Proyecto Cu4tro Bubbles Cava Rosé begins with the selection of four different grape varieties: Garnacha, Monastrell, Pinot Noir, and Trepat. The grapes are carefully harvested and taken directly to the press. There, they are carefully sorted and broken open to release the juice. Fermentation of the base wines then takes place. After fermentation, the wine is bottled and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. During this period, carbon dioxide is produced, creating the bubbles. The minimum aging period in the bottle is 10 months.
