The latest Cava from Torre del Gall and really one to shout about, so beautiful and refined. With this Rigol Brut Cava, the winemaker wanted to bring a slightly more affordable Cava to the market that would be a major competitor for the many bubbles from other countries. Well, he more than succeeded and great Pierre, owner of Rigol Brut Cava, has managed to create his own style in this wine. It all starts in the vineyards, which are relatively young but very promising because later they will have to feed the great Rigol Brut Cava. For this cava, Xarello, Macabeo and Parellada grapes are also used. Thanks to the perfect climate, the grapes ripen like no other and become perfectly ripe. At the ideal ripeness, they are harvested by hand and taken to the Rigol press.
Maturation in the cellars of Rigol Brut Cava
Once the grapes are pressed, the winemaker creates the blend, a meticulous job requiring meticulous care. They strive to ensure the Cava shines, using a second fermentation in the bottle, just like the well-known Champagne. This gives this Rigol Brut Cava a very fine mousse (bubbles). The aging period is somewhat shorter than that of its older siblings, approximately ten to twelve months for this Rigol Brut Cava in the cellar. The aroma and taste of the Rigol Brut Cava
With the "brut" classification, we know we're dealing with a slightly dry Cava. The fun begins the moment you open the bottle. The aroma reveals a beautiful bouquet of white fruit like apple, pear, and melon. The palate offers a very fine, soft mousse, ripe hints of white peach, lime, and stone fruit. There's also some fresh mint, freshly baked bread, and roasted nuts. In short, a top-notch Cava, and for this price, we find it truly unbelievable.Product details
