Tuscany's answer to Bordeaux.
Location: On the west coast of Italy, south of Livorno

Origin: The region became famous thanks to the 'Super Tuscans' of the 1970s, which broke with the DOC rules and made an international breakthrough with Bordeaux blends.

White: Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier
Rosé: Usually based on red grapes such as Syrah and Merlot

Red: Full, spicy, and powerful. Think: black fruit, cedarwood, velvety tannins.
White: Fresh and mineral with notes of citrus and white fruit. Often clean and elegant.
