C. Kloss Sparkling Tea Hibiscus, Germany
C. Kloss Sparkling Tea Hibiscus is a non-alcoholic sparkling tea with a dry, refined style and a strikingly elegant color. What makes this Sparkling Tea interesting for wine lovers? Not only the bubbles or the freshness, but precisely the combination of subtle fruit notes, light spiciness, delicate acidity, and a mature, dry finish. This Hibiscus shows that non-alcoholic options can also have character, excitement, and gastronomic versatility.
Origin and Style Vision
The Sparkling Tea Hibiscus was developed in the Mosel region, where Christian Kloss translates his experience with Sekt into a new non-alcoholic category.
-
Origin: The drink comes from C. Kloss's Sparkling Tea line, developed in the Mosel by Christian Kloss.
-
Genesis Story: In 2021, Kloss bought a Sekt house in the Mosel, further improved its quality, and then decided to develop sparkling tea as well.
-
Collaboration: For the Sparkling Tea line, he collaborated with a German top tea sommelier to create drinks with more depth, tension, and balance.
-
Collection: The line now consists of 5 different Sparkling Teas, each with its own style and signature.
It is precisely this background in sparkling beverages that gives this Hibiscus a refinement not often found in standard non-alcoholic alternatives.
Structure and Character
The Hibiscus is built around fruit, floral tension, and a refined dry profile.
-
Tea Base: The drink is made from fruit and herbal tea, providing an aromatic and smooth profile.
-
Grape Juice: Mosel grape juice adds subtle fruit notes and supports freshness and balance.
-
Color and Signature: Hibiscus tea gives the drink its natural color and a unique aromatic direction.
-
Structure: The style is unfiltered, which provides more depth and texture in the glass.
-
Mousse: With approximately 3.2 bar pressure, the mousse is lightly sparkling and elegant, without being aggressive.
-
Mouthfeel: Essential oils from flowers and tea leaves provide extra breadth and a fuller mouthfeel.
-
Sweet Balance: With less than 2g of sugar per 100ml, the style remains dry and refined.
Composition and Flavor Profile

This base gives the drink its aromatic breadth and soft, layered style.
Mosel Grape Juice – Fruity Nuance
Mosel grape juice provides subtle fruit notes and helps to beautifully integrate acids and mousse.
Hibiscus Tea – Color and Tension
Hibiscus tea not only provides the natural color but also refined freshness and extra vibrancy in the style.
Tasting Notes and Serving Suggestions
In the glass, C. Kloss Sparkling Tea Hibiscus appears refined and lively, with an elegant mousse and an inviting color. The nose opens subtly, with notes of pear, rosehip, and light green and white spices. On the palate, the style remains crisp and dry, with delicate acidity that creates tension without being harsh. The texture is smooth but not lightweight, precisely thanks to the fuller mouthfeel from the essential oils. The finish is refined dry, clean, and remarkably mature.
-
Serving Temperature: Serve well chilled so that the crisp tension, subtle fruit notes, and refined dry style are best expressed.
-
Pairings: Ideal as an elegant alternative to wine, but also very suitable with light dishes, aperitifs, and festive occasions.
About Christian Kloss
Christian Kloss is the master behind the C. Kloss Sparkling Tea line, combining classic Sekt knowledge from the Mosel with a modern vision for non-alcoholic sparkling beverages. Together with a top German tea sommelier, he developed a range of 5 Sparkling Teas, each with its own signature. In 2025, his Naturtrüb Rosé received 96 points from Falstaff, and the Hibiscus also received strong acclaim from De Grote Hamersma, where its refined dry style, pear, rosehip, and light spiciness were explicitly highlighted. Kloss thus demonstrates that non-alcoholic options should not only be taken seriously but can truly perform at a high level.
