Orange River Cellars is a renowned winery located in the beautiful wine region near the Orange River in South Africa. The winery has a rich history dating back to 1965, when local winemakers decided to collaborate and produce wine. They cultivate a wide range of grape varieties, both traditional and local, including Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Colombard, and Pinotage. With a commitment to craftsmanship and quality, Orange River Cellars strives to produce wines that are both accessible and remarkable. The winery benefits from the region's favorable climate and fertile soils, which contribute to the development of high-quality grapes. It all starts with selecting the finest Muscat de Frontignan grapes. These ripen on only the best plots of Orange River Cellars. For the winemaking, the best barrels from no fewer than 11 different vintages are used. And that is quite exceptional. Only the best barrel from each vintage is selected and then included in the final blend. This careful process of selecting and combining the best barrels from different vintages results in the unique and balanced flavor profile of Omstaan Wit Muskadel XI.
