The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The Bodegas Anadas CARE Garnacha Nativa 2023 is a powerful interpretation of old Garnacha vines from the DO Cariñena. What makes Garnacha Nativa special? This wine comes from vines more than 50 years old, which provides extra concentration and depth in the fruit.

The wine is part of the CARE project, where the name refers to the old Roman name for Cariñena and to the care and dedication with which the wines are made.

Bodegas Anadas is located in the heart of the DO Cariñena in Aragon, a region known for its sunny climate and powerful red wines.

  • DO Cariñena, Aragon: historic Spanish designation of origin.

  • Vines more than 50 years old: ensure low yields and concentrated grapes.

This combination yields Garnacha with ripe fruit expression and clear structure.

Garnacha – DO Cariñena, Aragon
Garnacha is known for its ripe red fruit, spice, and smooth yet present tannins.

The wine ages for 8 months in American oak barrels, which provides extra complexity and subtle woody notes that support the fruit without overpowering it.

In the glass, this Garnacha Nativa displays a clear red color. The aromas of ripe red and black fruit are complemented by nuances of cocoa and coffee beans. On the palate, the wine is spicy and ripe, with perfectly integrated tannins. The finish is rich, elegant, powerful, and fruity.

This wine pairs excellently with roasted meats, lamb, stews, pasta, and aged cheeses.

Bodegas Anadas was founded in 1935 and is one of the oldest family businesses in the DO Cariñena. The winery mainly produces red wines from Garnacha under the CARE label. The CARE project stands for exclusivity, innovation, and respect for terroir. The labels, designed by Enrique Torrijos, symbolize sun and soil and underscore the identity of the region.
