The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

A silky Chardonnay from the Gascony region in southwestern France. A perfect location for Chardonnay grapes. The soil here is rich in limestone and clay, which makes the grapes incredibly aromatic. A glass of Domaine Guillaman Chardonnay is filled with aromas of lemon, green apple, and abundant exotic fruit. An accessible wine that will delight many wine lovers.

The Domaine de Guillaman family estate is located in the Cotes de Gascogne, a region near Bordeaux. Today, the sixth generation is at the helm and manages over 26 hectares. Originally known for the production of Armagnac, the estate transitioned to high-quality table wines. This also marked the beginning of the extensive replanting of vineyards and the renovation of the winery. This wine region has had an official classification since 1982, and its wines have become increasingly popular in recent years. While the majority of the grapes planted are Ugni Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Colombard, varietals traditionally found in the Côtes de Gascogne, Domaine de Guillaman has also chosen to cultivate this distinctive Chardonnay grape, which adds a distinctive aroma. The grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness.

Only the very best is good enough, so the grapes undergo a rigorous selection process. At the winery, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures. After the necessary rest, the wine is bottled. The result is a white wine with an elegant aroma. Citrus notes alternate with tropical fruit aromas, along with hints of honey and floral notes. The palate is soft with balanced acidity. The taste is beautifully balanced and vibrant. This Chardonnay pairs perfectly with fish and seafood and light pasta dishes.
