The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Krug Champagnes are fantastic wines that are absolutely worth sharing. And this Magnum bottle makes it a perfect fit. 1.5 liters of this quality Champagne is enough for a group of 4 to 6 people. Krug Champagnes guarantee unique, wonderful, and unforgettable experiences.

This Champagne takes nearly twenty years to make. It consists of 120 different reserve wines, the oldest of which is ten years old. These reserve wines are carefully blended after a short pressing, using only the finest grapes. Harvesting is also entirely by hand, ensuring strict selection of the grapes before pressing. All wines ferment in oak barrels, a unique process in the Champagne world. Normally, oak is rarely used in Champagne production to preserve its freshness. Once the final blend of 120 different reserve wines has been created, the bottles are cellared for at least six years to mature and develop the mousse.

Each bottle of Grande Cuvée has its own unique recipe and can therefore vary from year to year. To ensure transparency, Krug has developed its own app, which provides more information about its Champagnes. By scanning the Krug ID on the back of your Krug Grande Cuvée champagne with your smartphone (or entering it manually on the house's website), you'll find all sorts of facts about the champagne you're holding in your hands. The color is pale yellow with a slight golden tinge, featuring playful strings of the tiniest carbon dioxide bubbles. The aroma immediately makes the first impression clear: this is serious business. It's wine, one of the finest wines in the world. Aromas of freshly baked loaf, coconut, candied citrus, roasted coffee beans, and toasted nuts. The palate offers great depth, a wide range of nuances, and complexity. Delicate yet full. Wonderfully ripe, with a wonderful length.
