Buy or order AIX wine

Aix is an icon. A unique wine in the bustling wine landscape. A standout. Few wineries have a name that wine lovers fall in love with just by pronouncing it. A winery that crafts rosé with passion and love. A wine that's now an absolute must-have in any wine cellar. A summery glass that completes any sunny Sunday afternoon. This exceptional winery has so much to offer, which explains its enormous success. Because AIX = hot!

Although Aix Rosé is served worldwide, from the hippest beach clubs in Ibiza to the finest restaurants in New York, it boasts a prominent place on many wine lists. Despite this international fame, Aix Rosé is Dutch-made. Wine connoisseur and connoisseur Eric Kurver remains the owner of this magnificent winery to this day. He purchased the vineyards in Provence in 2009. At the time, the estate was called Domaine La Grande Séouve. Eric Kurver found this name inconvenient; it didn't stick. He renamed it Domaine Saint Aix, after the capital of the arrondissement of Aix-en-Provence. So, Aix Rosé has been around for over ten years. However, the vines are much older; the established winery was actually almost 130 years old! The vines are now so old that Domaine Saint Aix has begun replanting some of them. This is done in small batches to ensure the harvest isn't compromised.

Aix (en-Provence)

That Aix offers a fantastic glass of rosé is a fact. It's located in the world's most renowned rosé region. Wherever you go in the world, from Australia to the United States and from Japan to England, everyone agrees that the best rosé wines in the world come from Provence. Aix Rosé has plenty of competition. With neighbors like Domaine Ott, Miraval, and MIP Rosé, this winery has good company. The secret of Domaine Saint Aix is its location. The vineyards of Aix Rosé are located in northern Provence, at an altitude of no less than 400 meters. The vines grow on a gently sloping hillside, protected by nature, such as forests. This rolling landscape receives an impressive 2,200 hours of sunshine per year. An astronomical amount. Thanks to the presence of the mistral, which is partially dampened by the hills, it never gets too hot in the vineyards. Because of its altitude, a gentle breeze blows from the sea at night. All the conditions are there for a bountiful harvest.

From grape to bottle

The success of Aix Rosé is largely due to its craftsmanship. The wine is made with passion, with a love for nature, the grapes, and the final juice. And it has to be, because without this passion, Aix Rosé wouldn't be nearly as good. Harvesting is done entirely by hand. The reason for this is to allow for better selection. And the selection is rigorous! Only the very best is good enough for Aix Rosé. This takes time and attention, but it's more than worth it with every sip. Aix Rosé is made from three grape varieties: Cinsault, Grenache Noir, and Syrah. The grapes are all harvested and fermented separately. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of only 12 degrees Celsius, which is lower than most houses. This makes the rosé just a little bit fresher and allows the flavors to fully develop. Then it's the winemaker's turn. The wine is blended. It's precision work. Many tastings and experiments are carried out until the taste is perfect. Thanks to the experience gained by the Aix-rosé winemaker, the rosé improves every year. A process we wholeheartedly encourage, as it makes us incredibly happy.

And the first place goes to… Domaine Saint Aix

A phrase often bestowed upon this phenomenal winery, which has long been a top contender at various competitions. The most prestigious competition in the world is undoubtedly the Concours Générale Agricole Paris. This competition has existed since 1860 and is considered one of the most representative. The jury consists of sommeliers, oenologists, and wine experts, as well as ordinary wine lovers. This incredibly strict jury has awarded Aix Rosé the gold medal for best rosé not once, not twice, not three, but four times: in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2015. Besides this important competition, several trade publications have also praised Aix Rosé. Consider Wine Spectator, a leading trade publication that has been testing wines for almost 50 years. In this magazine, Aix Rosé received 89 points. In the comparable magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Aix Rosé was awarded an impressive 90 points. An unprecedented achievement; no other Dutch winemaker has achieved as much international success as Eric Kurver. But Aix Rosé's trophy cabinet is far from complete. The Netherlands' renowned wine journalist, Harold Hamersma, also had a fantastic opinion of Aix Rosé. He called it "a wine that enthusiasts queue up for." An opinion we wholeheartedly share, along with the Netherlands' most renowned wine guru.

Big, bigger, grand bottle of Aix Rosé

That Aix Rosé has become a major player is clear. Wherever you go, Aix Rosé is on the table. But Eric Kurver wanted more. Because let's be honest; a bottle is empty in no time. Six glasses and it's gone again. And that's also the biggest drawback of Aix Rosé: a bottle is gone in no time. That's why the famous large bottles were brought out, all again bearing the iconic label. Aix Rosé now also offers a magnum, a double bottle. But Domaine Saint Aix goes further, much further. You can also enjoy Aix Rosé in a Jereboam (3 liters and 24 glasses) and a Reheboam (6 liters and 36 glasses). But for those who still need more, Aix Rosé also has a large bottle. The Nabuchodonosor, a mouthful to pronounce, but certainly enough rosé for your birthday, wedding, or party. This bottle contains a whopping 15 liters of rosé, which is a whopping 120 glasses! That's sure to be a summer treat! The large bottles of Aix rosé are usually in stock and can always be ordered, unless the harvest for that year is gone.

Eating with Aix

We've long known that Aix Rosé is a hit with drinks, a summer terrace, or a charming beach club with a sea view. It's a given that Aix Rosé is always perfect. But try pushing the boundaries. Go on an adventure. Experiment. No rosé pairs better with food than Aix Rosé. This flagship wine from Provence pairs exceptionally well with everything from the sea. Think luxurious dishes like oysters or lobster. But thanks to the herbaceous notes in the rosé, Aix Rosé is a perfect match for oriental dishes. But Aix Rosé is truly delicious during a leisurely lunch, in the sunshine on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Aix will make your day complete. Aix Rosé isn't just a welcome accompaniment on terraces and beach clubs. At the finest restaurants in the world, on every continent, Aix Rosé proudly tops many a wine list. Why? Because Aix Rosé is simply incredibly delicious, and its refreshing character makes it a perfect pairing with many dishes. While Aix Rosé is available at the finest (and most expensive) restaurants, you can still order it through perfectewijn.nl.

Aix rosé for every occasion

It's almost unfair that rosé is considered a drink exclusively for summer. Don't let anyone fool you, because Aix rosé is a successful glass of wine for ANY occasion. Whether it's spring, summer, fall, or winter, Aix rosé is never, ever a bad idea. Aix rosé has helped break the taboo of drinking rosé in winter. Incidentally, Aix rosé still provides the necessary sunshine. Because we know for sure that when you take Aix rosé out of the fridge, the clouds disappear. Pour the wine, and the weather clears up on its own. The aroma and flavor will automatically make you dream away. You'll swoon over beaches, the sea, and the sun. Even if you drink Aix rosé in the middle of winter.

Order Aix rosé

Aix Rosé is a pearl from France, a showpiece from Provence, and a crown jewel among rosé wines. It's no wonder Aix Rosé was chosen as one of the top 10 rosés from Provence. A prestigious title that Domaine Saint Aix proudly carries. Often, wines with such positive reviews from sommeliers, oenologists, and wine connoisseurs are practically unaffordable. But that's the advantage of Aix Rosé. This wine is available for order at perfectewijn.nl at a great price. Affordable quality for every day. For everyone. Bring that quality into your home and order this beautiful Aix Rosé. Open it at home and enjoy this Provencal craftsmanship with a Dutch touch.
