Buy or order Alturis wine

Winemaking is something they know their stuff in Italy. Wine regions like Veneto, Piedmont, Puglia, and Tuscany are, of course, well-known names. However, for the Alturis winery, we have to travel to a lesser-known Italian wine province: Friuli, in the far northeast of the country. This wine region, which also happens to be a border region, has been Alturis' home for three generations. The microclimate here is unique, which has made the planting of less conventional grapes a great success.

The Alturis wines from Friuli

The name Alturis wasn't chosen entirely by chance. In the local dialect, it literally means "plot of land above the landscape." The vineyards are also situated somewhat higher, offering breathtaking views from the Alturis vineyards. Beautiful nature as far as the eye can see—that's what Friuli is known for.
Alturis's strength lies in its unique microclimate. The wind from the Adriatic coast provides ample refreshment, while the Alps act as a natural barrier to the cold northerly winds. This allows for the cultivation of unique grapes that are completely ineffective in other parts of Italy. Think of a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, a unique Friulano, or the distinctive Pinot Noir.

The Italian wines of Alturtis

Although Alturis wines are truly Italian, the influence of neighboring countries is clearly noticeable. The Slovenian border is visible with the naked eye from the vineyards, while the Italian-Austrian border lies just a little further. The influence of both countries is clearly visible in the wines. You could say that Alturis wines are an ideal blend of these three countries; balanced and well-balanced.

The finest wine from Alturis

An impossible choice and an impossible task. Because Alturis wines are all incredibly distinctive. Each wine embodies a different flavor profile. From spicy, characterful, and robust to refreshing, exuberant, and creamy. Alturis has it all. How about the characterful Alturis Refosco? Or the distinctive Alturis Friulano? A special feature in the range is Alturis Friuli Nice Wine. This is an oak-aged Chardonnay with ultimate robustness and fullness. Creamy and complex. Exactly what we expect from a perfect wine.
