Vermentino di Sardegna is a designation of origin authorized throughout the island for wines made from Vermentino grapes. This wine comes from vineyards in the southern part of the island, on the hills north of Cagliari. Argiolas is very conscious of limiting yields for this grape, keeping them to no more than two kilos per vine. The wine ferments at a low temperature, around 17 degrees Celsius, to maximize the fruit's prominence. An additional 5% of other, aromatic white varieties are always added to Vermentino to give it a more complex aroma. A delicious, refreshing wine.
