Refreshing, invigorating, and innovative—that's Babydoll's wines. They perfectly embody what New Zealand is capable of. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir are distinctive and unique, but that doesn't make them any less delicious. A great starting point for exploring New Zealand wines.

Babydoll's New Zealand wines

For Babydoll's exquisite wines, we travel to the other side of the world. After a flight of roughly twenty hours, we arrive in perhaps the most beautiful country in the world: New Zealand. Its lush flora and fauna have served as the backdrop for countless Hollywood films. The climate is unique, thanks in part to its location in the middle of the ocean. More and more winemakers discovered this during the 1980s, and New Zealand gradually became a wine country par excellence.

New Zealand wines are considered New World wines. The first wineries established themselves on the South Island in the 1980s. However, it took some time before New Zealand wines became widely popular worldwide. Today, New Zealand wines are an indispensable part of the world, and Marlborough, New Zealand's wine region, is among the finest in the world.

Babydoll's Vineyards

Babydoll is located in Marlborough, a leading wine region in the north of New Zealand's South Island. Unique to Babydoll's vineyards is their location in the Awatere and Wairau Valley regions. The latter, in particular, has an impressive reputation among wine connoisseurs. The vineyards are ideally situated where sunshine and the cool ocean meet. This all contributes to the exceptionally high quality of Babydoll wines.

The Sauvignon Blanc wine from New Zealand

Although New Zealand is a diverse country, its winemaking seems quite homogeneous. Only one grape variety is responsible for the enormous success of New Zealand, and therefore also of Babydoll Winery. This is the Sauvignon Blanc grape. It is practically adored by New Zealand winemakers. It provides a refreshing, vibrant, and invigorating bouquet unlike any other wine. This vibrant aroma is also clearly recognizable in the aroma of Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc. The sheep on the label are an ode to New Zealand: a country with more sheep than people.
