That's why the Bardos winery planted Tinto del Pais. This grape seems unfamiliar, but it's a local version of Tempranillo that handles the extreme heat exceptionally well. Bardos's modern approach is also evident in the vineyards: even Cabernet Sauvignon has a place here.

Plenty powerful, yet easy-drinking enough for a cozy get-together on the couch. A delicious everyday wine with a kick. That's what we like. For those looking for something more complex, Bardos Reserva Ribera del Duero is the way to go. The small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, combined with the oak aging, gives the whole wine an almost meaty flavor.
