Barefoot White Zinfandel

Barefoot has had a rosé in its fine selection since the beginning of its history. The Californian winery has a very long history, which all began in 1965. It was Mr. Davis Bynum who first made a glass of Barefoot wine. In his garage, he created a new generation of wines, prioritizing softness and refinement. He spent years experimenting to extract the juice and discover a new winemaking method. He pressed the first wines with his feet, a fact explained on the label by the footprint.

White Zinfandel rosé unique to California

The winery didn't really reach its full potential until 1986, when entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey took over. Both men invested heavily in vineyards and a modern winery. They also planted several more hectares of the unique Zinfandel grape, which Garand uses in this rosé. For several years now, Barefoot wines have been made by female winemaker Jennifer Wall. She understands better than anyone how Barefoot wines should taste, and today, the wines are exquisite.

The aroma and taste of the Barefoot White Zinfandel

The Rosé was Barefoot's first rosé, but it's become a staple in the range. Made from the late-harvest Zinfandel grape, it's pressed quickly and lightly, giving this Barefoot rosé its light color. The aroma offers ripe notes of strawberry and watermelon, as well as peach and berries. The taste is slightly sweet with plenty of red fruit, including strawberry, raspberry, and currant. In short, this White Zinfandel is a surprising and delicious wine for any time of day!
