The history of Batasiolo is a very interesting one. While many wine producers from Barolo and other Piedmont regions have a very long history, Beni di Batasiolo was only founded in 1978. That year, the Dogliani family purchased the Kiola winery in La Morra, just 10 minutes north of the historic village of Barolo. This winery now comprises nine different farms and encompasses a whopping 264 hectares of excellent vineyards. The vineyards are primarily home to the acclaimed Nebbiolo grape. This grape is essential for Piedmont's vineyards, being a key component of Piedmont's most celebrated wine: Barolo.
Batasiolo produces the finest wines from Piedmont
But besides the impressive vineyards in Barolo, Batasiolo Winery also boasts many leading vineyards in other parts of Piedmont. Imagine, for example, the area around beautiful Asti, one of Piedmont's many wine villages. Here, the fantastic Batasiolo Barbera D'Asti Sabri is produced. Batasiolo also has vineyards planted with the intense Barbera grape in the Alba region. Here, they produce another gem: the Batasiolo Barbera D'Alba Doc Sovrana. Batasiolo also excels in its white wines: Batasiolo Roero Arneis and Batasiolo Gavi di Gavi Granee are two elegant white wines that perfectly capture the Italian character. What are the most beautiful Batasiolo wines?
Among all the beautiful wines from Batasiolo, it's difficult to choose a number one. However, if we have to name the cream of the crop, it has to be a Barolo wine. Batasiolo boasts five Barolo Crus: Briccolina, Brunate, Cerequio, Bussia Vigneto Bofani, and Il Boscareto. The latter two, in particular, are incredibly popular among vintners. Batasiolo Barolo Boscareto is a real treat. However, you'll have to be quick. These Batasiolo wines are available in limited quantities and are almost always sold out every vintage.Buy or order Batasiolo wine
