Vintage Report
Het oogstjaar 2017 in Rioja wordt als uitmuntend beschouwd met een score van 95 punten op de Robert Parker schaal. De wijnen zijn nog jeugdig en krachtig met een aanzienlijk potentieel om verder te rijpen op fles.
A crown jewel from Bodegas LAN's treasure trove. A successful glass of wine you absolutely can't get enough of. Bodegas LAN, which began as a typical Rioja house, wanted to experiment. Well, we can safely say they succeeded. Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva is a successful experiment by the cellar masters of the dynamic LAN winery.
A powerhouse from the most beautiful area of Spain
This stunning wine hails from the Rioja region. The mere mention of Rioja makes many people's mouths water. This impressive reputation has been built through centuries of hard work. Rioja was one of the first Spanish wine regions to receive a Do classification, back in 1926. In 1991, their hard work was rewarded once again with a DoCa classification.Spanish grape varieties are flourishing
Three typical Spanish grape varieties are used for Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva. Tempranillo (87%) predominates, giving this glass of red wine its character. Graciano (8%) and Mazuelo (5%) are present in lesser quantities in Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva, but are of great importance. These give the wine its strength, firmness, and fleshiness. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, after which the wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. After this, the bottles are bottled and remain in the cellars of Bodegas LAN for at least another 18 months.Aromas of Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva
Our patience is rewarded. After a aging process of no less than 36 months, the wine is ready to drink. Full-bodied, powerful, robust—Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva is simply undesirable. The aroma is elegant. Aromas of black and red fruit greet your nose. Then, more complex notes emerge: licorice, sweet spices, and a hint of minerality. The bouquet is a beautiful interplay of vegetal nuances combined with mint and fennel. Powerful yet silky smooth on the palate. Finely rounded tannins make sipping Vina Lanciano Rioja Reserva a true pleasure.Product details
