Pirnicipe de Viana was founded in the mid-1980s with a clear vision: to generate high-quality grapes sustainably. For over 35 years, Principe de Viana has been a leader in Navarra. This wine region is located in the far north of Spain, just north of Zarragoza. Typical Spanish grape varieties dominate the vineyards here, but most wineries, including Pirncipe de Viana, don't shy away from using international grapes either. For Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo, only Tempranillo, one of Spain's most famous grape varieties, is used. Typical Spanish aromas and flavors dominate this stunning wine, which you're sure to fall in love with.

The Trial of Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo

The Principe de Viana vineyards are among the finest in this region. Everything seems to be perfect for the Tempranillo grapes: the terroir, the climate, and the altitude of the vineyards. The rolling terrain is perfect for developing the grapes. Firm bunches bursting with quality! After the Tempranillo grapes are harvested, they are pressed and fermented. The juice then undergoes a light oak aging process. For three months, Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo is aged in a mix of American and French oak. This makes the wine slightly firmer, but not too pronounced. Finally, the wine is aged in the bottle for another three months.

Impressions of Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo

Because the grapes are grown in a Mediterranean climate, the wine is characterized by delicate, soft fruit flavors. On the nose, you'll discover powerful aromas of black and wild fruits like blackberries, currants, and cassis. Smell Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo again, and you'll discover elegant notes of cocoa and vanilla, thanks to the gentle oak aging. The flavor is just as intense as the aroma. Perfectly balanced and well-structured, the same fruit is also evident in the palate. The finish of Principe de Viana Roble Tempranillo is expressive, refreshing, and lingering. A wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes, but is certainly not out of place at a leisurely drinks reception with friends.
