We are now pleased to welcome one of Germany's largest and most spectacular wineries to our portfolio. We are proud to feature the Brogsitter name on our website. The winery has a fascinating history and is one of Germany's oldest wineries. However, Brogsitter has always remained contemporary and fully embraced modern technology.

Wines from Germany

German wines were long known for their sweet, lush character. Fortunately, that era is over, and Germany is now establishing itself as a true high-flyer when it comes to dry, complex wines. All the conditions are there for excellent wines. This is due not only to the terroir but especially to the terrain. Because of the many mountains, warm air from the south easily reaches the vineyards in Germany, creating unique microclimates. This is also the case in Ahr, the home of Brogsitter. Here, it can get relatively warm and is not without reason called the "Burgundy of Germany."

The wines of Brogsitter

Brogsitter has a long history. It is a cooperative encompassing several separate wineries. These wineries sometimes date back to the Middle Ages. They have had various owners, but the most important owner in the 17th and 18th centuries was the church. Since the end of World War II, the winery has stabilized and came into the hands of Hans Brogsitter. He united the wineries and created a stable winery. Under the leadership of his son, Hans-Joachim Brogsitter, the winery professionalized and is now among the top German wines.

Brogsitter's extensive vineyards offer a wealth of riches. Naturally, you'll find a wide range of local grape varieties, such as Weissburgunder, Spatburgunder, and Riesling, as well as international varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, which thrive thanks to Brogsitter's excellent growing conditions. We've now had the pleasure of exploring all of Brogsitter's wines and have discovered their common denominator: each stands out in its own category and can therefore rightly call them truly perfect wines.
