This beautiful red wine, called Lastone Veronese Le Preare, is made by the grand Cantina di Negrar. This winery is well-known in the region and was founded as a cooperative in 1933. Back then, a group of winegrowers wanted to join forces and establish a winery. Now, many years later, more than two hundred winegrowers have joined, and under the leadership of Daniele Accordini, they produce exquisite wines. Because the vineyards are spread across so many different locations, they can produce a very broad and powerful red wine. And we certainly taste this in this Lastone Veronese Le Preare.

The vineyards are located in the hills of Verona, hence the name "Veronese" on the label. The hills offer a unique climate in which the Corvina veronese, Rondinella, and Croatina grapes grow. Plenty of sunshine contributes to a ripe harvest, naturally slowed by the cool breeze. A long and balanced growth process results, allowing the vines to draw considerable strength from the chalky soil. When the red grapes are ripe, they are harvested in the morning to prevent oxidation on the bunches. They are transported in small crates to the Le Preare press, where they await a gentle pressing.
