The newest wine in the vast selection of Casa Ermelinda Freitas winery. This winery was originally founded in 1920 as Freitas Winery. However, the founder's granddaughter gave the winery her first name: Ermelinda. When her daughter Leonor inherited the winery, Casa Ermelinda Freitas's expansion began. She expanded from 60 hectares to over 440 hectares of vineyards and planted a variety of grape varieties. Vineyards were also acquired in other parts of Portugal. Today, she is one of the larger wineries in Portugal, notable for her wide selection and exceptionally affordable prices.
