Buy or order Chateau Des Eyssards wine

Talented, prestigious, but above all, incredibly delicious. And let's be honest: that's what it's all about. A wine should flow wonderfully through the mouth and feel like velvet on the tongue. A glass of wine should make you happy. Want a second sip.

The French wines of Chateau des Eyssards

France is inextricably linked to wine. Famous wine regions like the Cotes du Rhone, Burgundy, and the Loire are easy to talk about for wine lovers. Another well-known region is Bordeaux, located in western France. It's the birthplace of many wines and grape varieties, and almost iconic among sommeliers, vinologists, and wine journalists. Just east of Bordeaux, you'll find a small region that has had its own appellation since 1936: Bergerac.

Chateau des Eyssards from Bergerac

Bergerac is sometimes called Bordeaux's little brother. There are numerous similarities with this region. The only difference is the price; it's considerably lower. And yet, Bergerac produces a wealth of excellent wines, thanks in part to the expertise of the châteaux located there. Among them is Château des Eyssards. This château is headed by Pascal Cuisset, considered perhaps the most talented winemaker in the region.

The vineyards of Chateau des Eyssards

The Château des Eyssards vineyards are home to many varieties that are also common in Bordeaux vineyards. Think of red grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. These three grape varieties are planted on approximately 20 hectares around Château des Eyssards. The remaining 28 hectares are reserved for white grapes; wonderfully distinctive varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle, and even a little Chenin Blanc thrive here.

The wines of Chateau des Eyssards

All wines from the Château des Eyssards cellars are blends. Wines are made from two or more grape varieties. This is how Pascal Cuisset showcases his talent. By perfectly blending the wines, a successful wine is created. Take Château des Eyssards Bergerac Blanc Prestige, for example. Here, the Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon blend beautifully, giving this white wine a distinctive character.
