Vintage Report
The 2024 vintage benefited from abundant sunshine hours for optimal ripening, while the wind and cooler nights ensured the preservation of natural freshness in the grapes. This resulted in a top-quality harvest with an excellent balance between power and finesse.
For this top rosé, we travel to the heart of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence region, where we find the vineyards and cellars of Château du Seuil. At the gate, we see a magnificent medieval manor house where Château du Seuil wines are produced. Through much love and finesse, the winery has grown into a global player, and its wines are known for their power and smoothness. But a lot of work went into achieving this, explains Château du Seuil's winemaker. Close attention to the old vineyards and the renovation of the winery have contributed to the superb quality.
The old vineyard of Chateau du Seuil Rose
In the heart of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence lie the old vineyards of Château du Seuil. They cultivate four grape varieties: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Cinsault. These grapes grow at an altitude of up to four hundred meters above sea level, giving them a unique influence. They receive ample sunshine, allowing them to ripen perfectly. They also benefit from the fresh breeze and falling nighttime temperatures, preserving their freshness. The grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning to select only the finest bunches. The smell and taste of the Chateau du Seuil Rose
The bottle alone is beautiful, but it doesn't stop there. As soon as we open this rosé, we immediately encounter a refined aroma of red fruit and grapefruit. The beautiful salmon-pink color indicates this is a top-notch wine, a Coteaux d'Aix en Provence of the highest caliber. Nosing the glass, we detect hints of raspberries, ripe strawberries, and a touch of grapefruit, along with a hint of pepper. The palate is soft and very refined, with plenty of red fruit on the palate first, followed by hints of lime peel and grapefruit. On the back of the palate, a beautiful interplay of fine acidity and abundant red fruit. What a gem!Product details
