Château Lilian Ladouys is situated on the highest plateau in Saint-Estèphe, next to the Cos hill and the renowned Château Lafon-Rochet. The terroir is a cru classé, but thankfully, the price is not. Excellent value for money, and even more so for the 2016 vintage. Perhaps the best vintage ever for Château Lilian Ladouys. The soil structure for the vineyards has perfect natural drainage and is rich in limestone, gravel, and the renowned Saint-Estèphe clay soil. Classic grape varieties are grown on this soil: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. These beautiful wines also undergo a wonderful, long-term oak aging of 15 to 18 months. What a French gem with 15-year cellaring potential!
