The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Chateau Reaut Carat de Chateau Reaut is a wine of exceptional quality with deep complexity, silky tannins, and a refined palate. It is a tribute to the winery's passion and dedication to producing wines of exceptional finesse and character.

Located in the enchanting Bordeaux region of France, Château Reaut boasts a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Over the years, the château has built an undeniable reputation. Château Reaut's expansive vineyards grace the beautiful landscape and are strategically situated in diverse locations with varying soil types. This diverse terroir creates ideal conditions for growing several grape varieties, including the classic Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets to preserve the integrity of the fruit until the sorting table. Vinification begins with gentle extraction and moderate fermentation, which gives the wine strength while preserving the fruitiness, sweetness, and elegance of the tannins. The wine is then transferred to carefully selected barrels for aging. Chateau Reaut Carat de Chateau Reaut is aged in a combination of new and one-year-old oak barrels. Approximately 50 percent of the wine is aged in new oak barrels. The remaining 50 percent is aged in one-year-old oak barrels. The barrel aging process lasts over 18 months, allowing the wine to meld with the wood. At the end of the aging period, the wine is unfiltered to preserve its fruity character and maintain its freshness and youthfulness.

This wine offers deep complexity and a refined harmony of flavors. When tasting Château Reaut Carat de Château Reaut, the senses are seduced by a beautiful blend of ripe fruit and subtle nuances. The palate opens with juicy blackcurrants, dark cherries, and ripe plums, which pamper the taste buds with their sweetness and richness. A delicate spiciness follows, with hints of cinnamon and vanilla, giving the wine a refined and elegant dimension. The tannins of Château Reaut Carat de Château Reaut are silky and well-integrated, giving the wine a velvety texture. The mouthfeel is full and rounded, with a beautiful balance between fruity sweetness and refined acidity.
