Buy or order Coldridge wine

McGuigan (of which Coldrigde is a part) is a rarity in Australia: a large winery still family-owned. The founder was Owen McGuigan, who planted vines in the Hunter Valley in 1880 to supplement his dairy farm income. Currently, the fourth generation of McGuigans is actively maintaining the family tradition: Neil, Fay, and Brian McGuigan. Brian and his wife Fay are responsible for the McGuigan company in its current form. They are assisted by Brian's younger brother, Neil, as winemaker. In 1999, they ventured from the Hunter Valley to the Barossa Valley, where a second winery was established. In 2002, McGuigan became Australia's fourth winery through a partnership with Simeon Wines. Within the partnership, the McGuigan family retains control over the company. McGuigan has already been named International Winemaker of the Year three times by the International Wine & Spirit Competition. This demonstrates the high quality of McGuigan's wines. Besides wines under its own label, McGuigan also produces other labels, such as the pleasant and smooth wines under the Coldridge Estate name.
