The success of Famille Descombe
Famille Descombe has been a family business since 1905, growing from a small vineyard into a major player in the Rhône region. They began with small vineyards in Beaujolais and later expanded to Burgundy. However, the opportunities offered by the Rhône region prompted the winery to invest heavily in this region in recent years. Until 2000, the wines were almost entirely distributed domestically. Since then, they have also achieved success in the export market. Today, the fifth generation is at the helm and is fully focused on modernizing the company. The portfolio offers a wide range of quality wines that are highly sought after by wine lovers. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown in beautiful vineyards in Beaujolais. The region is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with continental influences. The soil consists of clay and limestone, which provides an excellent foundation for grape growth. These are optimal conditions for the Sauvignon Blanc grape. When the grapes are fully ripe, they are carefully harvested and strictly controlled in the winery. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks. The fruity character of Famille Descombe Sauvignon Blanc
A Sauvignon Blanc with a fresh and fruity character. In the glass, a wine emerges with a beautiful light golden color. The nose reveals aromas of lemon and grapefruit, complemented by more exotic notes of melon and peach. On the palate, it's a fresh, approachable wine with plenty of ripe fruit. The finish is slightly sweet, completing the picture. Ideal as an accompaniment to fish dishes or ham and goat cheese.Product details
