A rosé to rave about, so beautiful, so deep, so soft, and so fresh—this rosé has it all. The Gavinel winery is proudly located in the south of France. This is why the label says "Sud de France," reflecting its origins and the smoothness of its wine. The vineyards for this Gavinel Gris Rosé are located in the Mont Baudile Gris sub-region of the Languedoc, not far from the Côtes de Provence, and this is clearly noticeable in the aroma and taste of this rosé. The vineyards cultivate the finest local grape varieties, all grown in a perfect climate: plenty of sunshine but also the cool breeze that blows across the mountains and through the vineyards.

The harvest for the Gavinel Gris Rose

The old vines on which the harvest grows give the bunches the right strength. This is mainly due to the rich soil structure, which provides the bunches with plenty of nutrients. Once the harvest is ripe, it is harvested vineyard by vineyard. This takes place early in the morning to protect the bunches during transport to Gavinel and to preserve their freshness. Upon arrival, the Gavinel team is already waiting to thoroughly sort the harvest. Only the best bunches are pressed, and the red skins are briefly fermented with them, giving them their beautiful light color.

The aroma and taste of the Gavinel Gris Rose

The result is a feast for the eyes. As soon as we pour this Gavinel Gris Rose, we notice its beautiful, light color, reminiscent of a Cotes de Provence. Its aroma surpasses many rosés from that region, boasting exceptional purity. Besides fresh red fruit, we also detect hints of peaches, apricots, red flowers, and a touch of grapefruit. The palate is fresh on the attack, with beautiful, powerful nuances of strawberry and raspberry on the palate. Combined with citrus and light spice notes, this wine completes the experience. This Gavinel Gris Rose has already blown away many top rosés in top restaurants, which speaks volumes!
