Buy or order Korsic wine

Unknown breeds unloved. Korsic proves that. These wines have long played a secondary role. But when we were presented with a few bottles of Korsic wine a few years ago, we were immediately enthusiastic. What sublime wines with a contemporary character. A Korsic wine isn't for "just a quickie." You have to savor it; take your time. Choose a comfortable chair or cook a lavish meal. A bottle of Korsic wine can make it all the more special.

The Italian wines from Fruili

Italy's winemaking is unparalleled. No other country in the world even comes close to the excellence of Italian wines. The country is steeped in wine, and winemaking runs through the veins of every corner. From the bustle of Veneto, the authentic Piedmont, or touristy Tuscany, wineries abound. Wine is also produced in Italy's lesser-known regions. One such area is Friuli, located in the far northeast, just north of Veneto. This lesser-known region boasts a unique terroir and climate, enabling it to produce highly distinctive wines.

The wines of Korsic

Korsic is one of Friuli's high-flyers. Just a stone's throw from the Slovenian border, it's one of the easternmost wineries on the Italian mainland—excluding the large "peninsula." It's a pure family business, owned by the Korsic family for 150 years. Currently, Fabjan Korsic is at the helm. Together with his brother and father, they manage the eight hectares of vineyards in the Collio region.

The eight hectares of vineyards are primarily home to local, lesser-known grape varieties. No one is particularly familiar with Ribola, Friulano, or Malvasia, but one sip of a Korsic wine and you'll instantly become a fan! These Italian wines possess such minerality, freshness, and depth. The Korsic family also decided to plant Chardonnay. With its terroir rich in marl, sandstone, and marine fossils, similar to Chablis, we believe Chardonnay is a more than logical choice.
