Glup Glup. The wines are named after the sound of drinking wine. Because that's what we love. And when the wine is truly delicious, we tend to indulge. The sound is unmistakable: Glup! That's precisely why Longavi launched this successful range of wines! Wines from Chile that you'll be eager to enjoy – because the taste is truly delicious.

The wines from Chile

Longavi, the producer of Glup wines, is a collaboration between two giants in the wine world. David Nieuwoudt and Julio Bouchon have cemented their friendship with the fantastic Glup wines. David Nieuwoudt originates from South Africa and represents the fifth generation of the Cederberg wine estate. Julio Bouchon is one of Chile's finest winemakers and a member of Chile's most renowned wine family: Bouchon Family Wines.

The wines of Longavi

The vision for these friends was clear: to make wines to savour (Glup Glup), but with incredible quality. To achieve this, they sought out unique vineyards in the southern half of Chile. This region used to be the heart of Chilean wine, but with the rise of well-known grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, viticulture shifted further north, where these varieties thrive. In the "old south," you'll find still-unknown grape varieties that are sometimes up to a hundred years old!

How about Longavi Glup Pais? The Pais grape was nearly extinct, but Glup has managed to recover vines over 100 years old, located in the Bio Bio Valley. The grapes for Longavi Glup Carignan also come from vines over 90 years old. This also emphasizes the unique character of Glup wines: venturing off the beaten path and embarking on an adventure to discover the finest wines from Chile.
