A Californian winery brimming with grace and allure. A bottle of McManis is always a good idea, in our opinion. They offer body, quality, and a guaranteed broad smile. McManis wines are all vibrant and distinctive. Each wine represents a distinct grape varietal. The winemakers at McManis have developed each wine to showcase the individual qualities of each grape varietal.
McManis' Californian wines
Grapes have been grown at McManis' vineyards since the early 1940s. This is longer than many other wineries. This immediately explains the unique quality of McManis wines. Over 80 years of craftsmanship ultimately translates into top-class grape vines. However, the winery didn't gain commercial traction until 1990 with the establishment of McManis Family Vineyards. This was the responsibility of the fourth generation of McManis. Now, the fifth generation is at the helm of this highly successful winery.
McManis makes the finest wines from California
McManis' vineyards are located in the northern half of California, about an hour and a half east of the metropolitan area of San Francisco. Here, McManis owns an incredible number of vineyards. The family owns a whopping 2,700 hectares. Even for Californian wineries, this is an astronomical number. All vineyards are situated around the San Joaquin Valley, precisely where the climate is exceptionally well-suited to viticulture. The delicate and distinctive McManis Viognier, in particular, is a top performer here.
Why buy McManis wine?
McManis produces Californian wines with a high standard of quality. This makes every sip a McManis wine a guaranteed success. A treat for everyone. Try the crowd-pleaser McManis Chardonnay, which, thanks to its oak aging, creates a magnificent palate. Or how about Petite Sirah or Zinfandel, each a crown jewel that will surely find a place in your wine cellar. But the real standout is McManis Cabernet Sauvignon; a personal favorite of our vintners.
