Mure Winery has been a household name in elegant Alsace for centuries. Founded in 1650, the winery has been at the forefront for over 350 years. To this day, Mure remains a true family business. Currently, day-to-day management is in the hands of Veronique Muré and her brother Thomas Muré. Their father, René Muré, is still occasionally active in the business but is increasingly withdrawing. The winery is located near Rouffach, in a relatively warm part of Alsace, ensuring that Muré wines are of exceptional quality.
The Alsace wine of Muré
The strength of Muré wines lies in their vineyards. They have a whopping 25 hectares at their disposal, a full 12 of which are located in the prestigious Clos St. Landelin region. This beautiful region is the envy of many other Alsace wineries. Furthermore, Muré produces its wine entirely organically, and its wines are certified organic.
The finest wines from Muré come from Clos St. Landelin
Muré's strength lies in Clos St. Landelin. Here, Mure has planted several classic grape varieties. Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Pinot Noir are grown on these vineyards with incredible success. Our oenologists are big fans of the variety featuring the Riesling grape: Mure Riesling Clos Saint Landelin. This perfectly executed Riesling demonstrates that Mure's winemaker is no novice. This Mure white wine can even age for another ten years.
Why buy Muré wines

Whether we're talking Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, or Pinot Noir, they are all cultivated, harvested, and fermented with the utmost care.
