From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

A crazy dream, that's what the winemaker has called this Rheinhardt Fuchs wine, Tolltraum. And a crazy dream this sweet white wine certainly is. Reinhardt Fuchs wines come from the renowned German family business Zimmer-Graeff & Muller. The winery has been family-run for four generations with extensive knowledge, experience, and drive. Head winemaker Peter Griebeler has had ultimate responsibility for, among other things, Reinhardt Fuchs wines for many years. A responsible task that he is uniquely qualified to perform. It's no wonder these wines can be found all over the world.

We can certainly call this white wine a top-notch one. Made from the Müller-Thurgau grape. This grape is less well-known outside Germany, but in Germany it's widely used for top wines. This grape thrives in a cooler climate. This climate is found in the renowned Rheinhessen wine region in Germany. It was therefore a very likely choice for the winemaker to plant some of Rheinhardt Fuchs' vineyards with the Müller-Thurgau grape. After a long and balanced growing season, the grapes are ready for harvest. A task that is very important to the winemaker. The fruit must sustain as little bruising as possible during harvest and transport. This way, all the beautiful juice remains within the grapes until they reach the press. After a gentle pressing, all the pure juice has flowed into the tanks, and fermentation can begin. The result?

Sweet white wine lovers, take note! This stunning white wine is the pinnacle of the Rheinhardt Fuchs range. The deep yellow color immediately suggests an intense wine. The delicious sweet aromas dance out of the glass. After swirling the glass, we noted delightful aromas of elderflower, apple, pear, and a touch of banana at the back. These aromas translate into a rich yet pleasantly sweet white wine. We find nuances of ripe white fruit, elderflower, and a subtle hint of citrus on the palate. The finish is pleasantly long. A superb wine for aperitifs or with fruity desserts!
