A unique, sweet wine that can sometimes cost hundreds of euros per bottle.
The wines of The Royal Tokaji
Tokaji wines are produced in the Tokaj Hegyalja wine region, located in northeastern Hungary, approximately 250 kilometers from the capital, Budapest. This region is renowned among wine connoisseurs; it produces arguably the finest dessert wine in the world. The area consists of select vineyards. Harvesting is done using special baskets called Puttonyos. The number of Puttonyos indicates the wine's concentration and quality. The Royal Tokaji Winery produces only Tokaj wines with 5 or 6 Puttonyos, which is the highest number.
