The 2022 vintage in Veneto is considered excellent with a score of 91 points. The wines from this year show excellent quality and a still youthful character.

Pinot Nero is the Italian equivalent of the well-known Pinot Noir from Burgundy. So expect a fresh, complex wine with pleasant acidity. Our expectations were met the moment we popped the bottle open: bursting with red fruit. Freshly picked raspberries. A finish of sour cherry. Fruity without being boring. The wines of Sacchetto

Sacchetto wines have a long and impressive history. It all began a century ago, in the 1920s. Businessman Sisto Sacchetto founded a wine trading house in Trebaseleghe, in the Veneto province. For years, the region's finest wines reached this trading house, and the Sacchetto family handled their distribution. This contributed to the great success of Veneto wines. In the 1980s, Sisto's son, Filiberto Sacchetto, decided to start producing wines as well. From the very first harvest, this was a resounding success, and Sacchetto wines traveled the world. Their sparkling wines were particularly successful initially. However, the winery now profiles itself as a quality producer of impressive still wines.

Impressions of Sacchetto Pinot Nero Trevenezie

This Pinot Nero is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. Not just any wine, but a red wine that has been meticulously crafted. This is readily apparent when you take a sip of Sacchetto Pinot Nero Trevenezie. The vast majority of the grapes come from vineyards in Veneto, but the winemaker also uses a small portion from vineyards in Fruili. Both fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel. This emphasizes the Pinot Nero's freshness and ensures that Sacchetto Pinot Nero Trevenezie remains a wonderfully refreshing wine.
