The Italian wines of Feudo di Santa Tresa

The island of Sicily. You simply must visit to experience its mystique. It boasts a truly impressive history, with many peoples, from the Greeks to the Arabs and from the Etruscans to the Normans, ruling over the island. These influences are still clearly visible in cities like Syracuse, Palermo, Catania, and Messina. The Feudo di Santa Tresa winery is located in the south of the island, near the town of Vittoria.

The vineyards of Sicily

The Feudo di Santa Tresa winery is named after the old winery of the same name near Vittoria. Dating back to the 17th century, the farm was revived in 2002 by Stefano and Marina Girelli. They restored the 50-hectare estate to its former glory and have been producing exclusively organic wines since 2009.

The vineyards are in magnificent condition. Thanks in part to the cool Mediterranean breeze, the grapes are ripening perfectly. The vines are growing accessible varieties like Nero D'Avola and Grillo, but lesser-known names like Fiano and Frappato have also secured their place in the vineyards.

The Sicilian wines of Santa Tresa

Our selection includes a variety of wines from Feudo di Santa Tresa. From refreshing whites like Miopasso Pinot Grigio to spectacular reds, of which Santa Tresa Insieme Nero d'Avola is our personal favorite. Feudo di Santa Tresa also surprises with sparkling wines. The Miopasso Primitivo

The winery has since expanded to mainland Italy. Feudo di Santa Tresa is currently running a project in Puglia, where it has planted impressive vines of the Primitivo grape. Because when you say Puglia, you immediately think of Primitivo. This is where Feudo di Santa Tresa's greatest success is perhaps produced: the Miopasso Primitivo.
