Out of honesty, purity, and craftsmanship, the Senorio de Iniesta winery was founded in 1944 by 34 winegrowers. They wanted to create the finest wines from the Tierra de Castilla wine region. All wines had to be made with the organic spirit, and they succeeded. All Tierra de Castilla wines are completely vegan, a fact reflected in the pure style of all their wines. The winery now has over 1,200 members and produces a wonderful selection. With the motto "tradition and vanguard," the winery continually seeks to combine ancient traditions with modern winemaking techniques. And they succeed perfectly, as their wines are beloved worldwide. Today, the Senorio de Iniesta winery boasts 700 hectares of vineyards spread across the Tierra de Castilla wine region.
The Sauvignon Blanc vineyard in Tierra de Castilla
For this beautiful white wine, we travel to the sunny wine region of Tierra de Castilla. Here, at an altitude of 750 meters, the vineyards are filled with Sauvignon Blanc grapes. These vineyards are perfectly situated between the Júcar and Gabriel rivers. The altitude creates a perfect climate, with abundant sunshine but also plenty of natural refreshment from the wind and falling nighttime temperatures. A beautiful, vibrant white wine, abundant with citrus fruit and freshly cut grass, begins the moment you open the bottle. In the glass, it glows bright yellow with a green sheen that's very inviting. Nosing the wine, we smell powerful notes of tropical fruits like passion fruit, grapefruit, and banana. Later, some green herbs and a touch of gooseberry also emerge. The palate is vibrant, fresh on the tongue with plenty of citrus fruit. On the cheeks, hints of lime and mint leaves make it delightful. The finish is long and refreshing!Product details
