Wow, these wines are beautiful! We have a strict eye on Piedmont when it comes to its wines. Because although Piedmont is the number one wine region in Italy for quality, that doesn't automatically mean the wines are good. So we were eagerly looking forward to a tasting of Terredavino's wines. We were surprised and amazed. So much quality and flavor, for a price that is more than reasonable. We can therefore confidently recommend Terredavino's wines to anyone who loves Piedmontese wines.

We're taking the car to Italy for the Terredavino winery. We don't have far to travel, as we need to be in the north, namely Piedmont; if you drive fast enough, you can get there in a good day. Even for those who aren't wine enthusiasts, Piedmont is highly recommended to visit. Besides wine history, you'll find beautiful culture, impressive architecture, and delicious food in the villages of Alba, Asti, and of course, Barolo. Terredavino Winery is located just north of the historic village of Barolo. Barolo, along with Barabresco and Brunello, is considered one of Italy's three great wines. Barolo is described as a "king's wine" because the wine, made with the Nebbiolo grape, was once beloved by kings. Terredavino's wines have a clear signature; only wines from Piedmont with a DOC classification or higher! With that classification, you're in the right place in Piedmont. This northern Italian region boasts 42 DOC wines and no fewer than 16 DOCG wines: the highest number in all of Italy.

Terredavino Winery is essentially a large cooperative. Several small winegrowers join forces to produce perfect wines. Because it's a sustainable and large-scale partnership, Terredavino has access to a vast number of grapes. It comprises no fewer than 2,500 winegrowers, representing over 5,000 hectares. This truly makes it one of the largest vineyards in the world.
