The Chilean wines of Ventisquero
The story of the Ventisquero winery is somewhat reminiscent of a fairy tale. It begins in the mid-1950s on a farm in the Rancagua province, an hour's drive south of Santiago. Here, Don Gonzalo Via was born. A man with a vision. A mission. And a clear passion: wine. At the age of forty, he decided to pursue his passion. Vina Ventisquero has become an indispensable part of Chile. The largely local vineyards can be found in all the renowned wine regions, from Maipo to Colchagua and from Casablanca to Leyda.
