The vineyards for this Primitivo Salento are located in the southernmost part of the Puglia region, in the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto. The climate in this area is ideal for Primitivo Manduria grapes, which benefit from abundant sunshine, sea breezes, and cooler nights. The Primitivo Manduria grapes are harvested entirely by hand and are transported to the press in small crates. The grapes ripen quickly and are harvested as early as August. After a gentle pressing, only the finest juice is used for the wine. The Primitivo Manduria is aged for six months in the Conte di Campiano cellars, where it is surrounded by beautiful wooden barrels that contribute to the mature and refined style of this red wine.
