The story of this winery begins in 1928, when a handful of local winegrowers wanted to collaborate. By joining forces, they could produce better quality wines. This proved to be a great success. Today, Bourdic is a cooperative of 100 winegrowers spread across ten municipalities in the Nîmes region. Their collaboration continues to produce high-quality wines year after year, which many wine drinkers thoroughly enjoy.

The vineyards full of Viognier grapes

Because Bourdic is a large-scale cooperative, it has extensive vineyards at its disposal. The grapes for all its wines, including this Les Collines Viognier, are grown on a whopping 1,600 hectares. Viognier originates in the Cotes du Rhone, located slightly further north. Bourdic's winegrowers discovered that this aromatic, generous wine also thrives in vineyards near the Mediterranean. In 1993, they were among the first to plant this beloved grape on a large scale. The result is this phenomenal white wine.
