Fresh Picpoul grapes for Villa Blanche Picpoul de Pinet

Since 1995, the Calmel & Joseph winery has been a household name in the Languedoc. Laurent is the oenologist and winemaker, and Calmel focuses on marketing. A professional duo with a clear vision. Thanks to their strong relationships in the wine world, they are guaranteed the finest grapes year after year. Because they have access to several vineyards, they can utilize diverse soil types and microclimates. This ensures that each grape variety has a suitable location to ripen perfectly. The result is impressive: a wide range of quality wines. The Picpoul de Pinet grapes are harvested during the cool night. This preserves their freshness. Once arrived at the winery, the grapes undergo a two-hour maceration before pressing. Only the very best grapes are pressed to ensure the highest quality. Nothing is left to chance. Fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees Celsius. Finally, the wine is aged on the lees for three months.
