The story of this magnificent wine goes back to the early 1980s. Jess Jackson purchased an orchard in Lake County, California. Just north of Napa, the decision was made to uproot the trees and replace them with Chardonnay vines. A wise decision, as it turned out. Almost 40 years later, Kendall Jackson wines still stand at the top of the podium. These days, there's also room for other grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and Merlot. However, it's still the bottles of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay that have achieved near-iconic status among wine-drinking consumers.
