The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The Bodegas Anadas CARE Garnacha Blanca Barrica 2023 is an oak-aged white wine from the DO Cariñena, demonstrating how Garnacha Blanca develops with barrel aging. What does Barrica mean for a white wine? It indicates that fermentation and aging take place in oak barrels, adding extra structure, complexity, and subtle oak notes.

Composed of 90% Garnacha Blanca and 10% Chardonnay, this wine combines aromatic intensity with oak influence.

The vineyards were planted in 2015 with a planting density of 4,000 vines per hectare.

  • DO Cariñena, Aragón: sunny region with powerful wine styles.

  • Planted 2015: young, vital vines.

  • 4,000 vines per hectare: focus on quality and concentration.

These factors ensure ripe fruit with sufficient freshness.

Garnacha Blanca – Chardonnay, DO Cariñena
Garnacha Blanca brings aromatic richness and roundness, while Chardonnay adds extra structure.

Fermentation takes place in new 500-liter French oak barrels for 25 days at controlled temperatures of 16°C. The wine then ages for another 4 months in French oak barrels, ensuring the integration of wood and fruit.

In the glass, this Garnacha Blanca Barrica shows a clear light yellow color with green accents. The nose is very intense with white flowers, ripe peach, and pear, complemented by aromas of vanilla, walnuts, and butter. On the palate, the wine has a medium body and a long finish.

Serve between 7 and 9 °C to experience a balance of freshness and oak influence.

Bodegas Anadas was founded in 1935 and is one of the oldest family businesses in DO Cariñena. Under the CARE label, the winery produces wines where exclusivity, innovation, and respect for terroir are central. The name CARE refers to the ancient Roman name for Cariñena and to the care with which the estate makes its wines. The labels, designed by Enrique Torrijos, symbolize sun and soil, emphasizing the region's identity.
