Description
Ackerman Bulle Royale Zero% White Alcohol-Free
Ackerman's alcohol-free sparkling wine with a Loire Valley signature, Zero% Blanc, is intensely fruity, elegant, and refreshing—exactly what you're looking for as a non-alcoholic aperitif. How is this sparkling wine made alcohol-free? Ackerman ferments it into wine, then removes the alcohol under vacuum at a low temperature and reintroduces some of the natural aromas for flavor and length.
Vineyards and region
Origin: Loire Valley, made with grapes from the Nantes and Anjou basins. The goal is freshness and typicity, with a clean, thirst-quenching style. Serve chilled at 6–8°C.
Vinification and maturation
After traditional vinification, dealcoholization follows via vacuum evaporation at a low temperature, with partial reintegration of aromas to preserve the character. The mouthfeel is then balanced with a touch of grape juice, resulting in a fresh, harmonious, sparkling wine with less than 0.5% alcohol.
Grape composition
Pineau d'Aunis – Loire
100% Pineau d'Aunis. What's special about this is that Pineau d'Aunis is originally a red Loire grape, also called Chenin Noir, but it's made as a "white" for this Zéro%. This is possible because the grapes are pressed directly and gently without contact with the skins, so they don't release any color, but they do retain the grape's recognizable, slightly spicy signature. This makes the choice for Zéro% Blanc unique and typically Loire.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
Pale yellow in the glass. Aromas of ripe grapes and yellow fruit. Juicy and fresh on the palate, with floral notes, peach, and a hint of quince in the lingering finish. Ideal as a non-alcoholic aperitif or with fruit desserts, pastries, and fresh fruit salads. Serve at 6–8°C.
