Maison Ackerman from Saumur is the oldest specialist in Loire Valley bubbles, founded in 1811. Bulle Royale is their fresh, inviting Saumur Brut with a very fine mousse and a pure signature. Vineyards and region

The grapes come from the Saumur region of France, in the Loire Valley. Ackerman combines fruit from two zones for a complete profile: the basin around Le Puy-Notre-Dame, with sandy and limestone soils, yields floral notes and white fruit, while the Montreuil-Bellay basin, with limestone soils, provides vibrant freshness with citrus and orange peel.

Vinification and maturation

Made using the traditional method with a second fermentation in the bottle. The base wine is carefully pressed, after which it is aged for 15 months sur lattes in the historic Ackerman caves. This results in a precise mousse and a crisp, balanced mouthfeel. Serve at 5–6°C for maximum freshness.

Tasting notes and serving suggestions

Pale yellow with very fine, persistent bubbles. Aromas of citrus, ripe yellow fruit, flowers, and a subtle brioche note. The palate is fresh and clean with crisp fruit and an elegant, balanced structure. Serve at 5–6°C as an aperitif or with cheese gougères, grilled salmon, veal sweetbreads in cream sauce, fresh or dried goat cheese, and fruit salads.
