This refined white wine comes directly from the prestigious Adulation winery. The name "Adulation" translates as "flattery," synonymous with charm and elegance. And you can certainly taste that in this rich and deep Chardonnay, whose character is due to the exceptional quality of the grapes and the soil in which they are grown.
The historic vineyards of Adulation
Adulation's centuries-old vines stand proudly in the stunning Californian wine landscape. These robust vines, which have defied the test of time for decades, have deep roots that draw nutrients from the fertile soil. This soil, rich in limestone, clay, and marl, provides the Chardonnay grapes with everything they need. Moreover, the grapes benefit from an ideal climate: abundant sunshine energizes them, while cool breezes provide balance. This ensures a slow and balanced ripening process. When the grapes reach their peak, they are carefully hand-picked, and only the crème de la crème is selected for this exceptional Adulation white wine.
Oak aging for the Adulation California Chardonnay
After pressing the grapes, the wine is aged for several months in oak barrels in Adulation's cellars. This process enhances the fullness and complexity of the California Chardonnay, a flavor we absolutely appreciate. The wine is only sold when it is at its best and has achieved the desired elegance. Fortunately, we have a few of these bottles in our collection.
The rich taste of Adulation California Chardonnay
Upon uncorking the bottle, we are immediately greeted by a powerful aroma of tropical fruit, complemented by hints of vanilla and spice. In the glass, the wine clings to the sides, revealing notes of apricot, peach, vanilla, herbs, and freshly baked bread. This white wine is pure delight on the palate, with a rich, woody flavor accented by yellow fruits and sweet spices. The finish is long and powerful, exactly what you would expect from a top-notch California Chardonnay.
