A beautiful organic white wine from the Penedes region. The Xarello grapes are sourced from vineyards with calcareous clay soils. This allows the Xarello grapes to develop beautiful qualities alongside their typical character. The result is a fresh wine with an elegant character.

The family business Agusti Torello

The cava house was founded in 1950 by Agusti Torello Mata. The estate is located in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. The house is known for its quality cavas that are made exclusively from local grape varieties. The house owns several vineyards around the town of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia in Penedes, which is considered the Cava capital. Extra hard work is done in the vineyards to harvest healthy and ripe grapes, which is no easy task. It is a true family business that is today run by the four children of the founder. They maintain the tradition and continue to improve day in and day out, so that the success only continues to grow. In addition, Torello is one of the few houses that dares to make cavas from a vintage. Typical of Torello cavas is that they are beautifully dry with an honest style. To ensure the quality of this XIC Xarello is high, only the best grapes are harvested by hand. A strict selection process is already underway in the vineyard itself. Fermentation then takes place in the winery using yeasts from the Xarello plots. After 6 months of aging, the wine is bottled in tanks on its own lees.

In the glass, the XIC Xarello shines with a pale yellow color. The nose has aromas of citrus, peach and minerality. The taste is wonderfully fresh and elegant, very typical of the Xarello grape. A delicious summer wine that combines well with many different dishes.
