Dry, playful, and full of life: this Riesling from Weingut Allendorf bears the name "Save Water Drink Riesling" for good reason. Behind the tongue-in-cheek label lies a serious wine, crafted in the heart of the Rheingau. Crisp, mineral, and with a citrus kick that brings your glass to life.
Vineyards and region – fresh grapes on the Rhine
This Riesling grows on steep slopes along the Rhine, where slate and loess create its characteristic mineral tension. The area around Oestrich-Winkel combines cooling river mist with abundant sunlight, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and fully aromatically. It's no coincidence that the Rheingau is considered one of the world's top Riesling regions.
Vinification and style – energy in the glass
After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks. No wood is used: purity is the key here. The wine is briefly aged on the fine lees to give it that extra bit of depth. Fresh, taut, and perfectly balanced.
